Power and torque

The Volvo FH16 is simply made for heavy assignments. Its powerful and efficient 17-liter inline six-cylinder engine provides up to 780 hp and 3800 Nm of torque, as well as more engine braking power at low engine speeds.

Performance and efficiency

The Volvo FH16 Aero takes the low weight and high efficiency of the D17 engine and builds on it with an aerodynamic truck design that reduces drag to save fuel. Perfect for heavy assignments that demand extended performance at high average speeds.

I-Shift with crawler gears

I-Shift helps you get the best out of your powertrain and aids very low speed maneuvering. Within this range of automated transmissions, you can get low and ultra-low crawler gears, Terrain Brake, tailored software for startability with reduced clutch wear, and one-pedal driving when shifting between forward and reverse.

More control, less effort

With Volvo Dynamic Steering, drivers can maneuver at low speeds as well as drive over longer distances with less strain on the shoulders. Improving productivity and safety, the system automatically gives assistance when a front tire is punctured, and works together with Stability Assist for light assistance when a skid is detected.

Driver comfort and security

The ergonomic cabs with Camera Monitor System put drivers in control with great visibility all around the truck – even in low light conditions. The system can also increase security on overnight stops, while a range of accessories like microwave ovens, refrigerators, and extra lights make the cab an even more comfortable home on the road.
